What's your business, and who are your customers?
ZSBC offers coaching and consulting to disabled entrepreneurs at any stage of their business journey.
Tell us about yourself
I am a 33-year-old disabled entrepreneur living in Ottawa, Canada. I am a certified business and entrepreneurship coach with a genetic condition called familial dysautonomia. After having started my own writing business, I was asked to become a mentor at a local nonprofit organization. After realizing how well-suited I was to this role, I became certified. Helping fellow founders with disabilities was a mission I was immediately drawn to.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating and starting my own signature course while also continuing to offer one-on-one coaching to a growing number of clients.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the challenges is having to be good at everything. Being a solopreneur means I have to do everything. :)
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- This doesn't have to be a big scary thing. You can start small and see how it goes!
- Breaking tasks into small pieces can make everything more doable.
- Just have fun with it!
