Yellowrattle Coaching Ltd is an Executive and Leadership coaching company. I coach people who are shaping the future.
Tell us about yourself
My journey to becoming an executive and leadership coach is best described around the company name. Yellow Rattle is a plant that is put to the soil when other plants cannot grow; it's known as the meadow maker. I work with people who want to create the environment for them, and those around them, to flourish. I'm an activist by nature, driven by strong values around fairness and equality of opportunity for all, so when I work with leaders who want to create these conditions for their people, I have such hope for the future of the world of work.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to attract the diversity of clients I have.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
You need to know a little about a lot! You become sales, operations, finance, marketing, and IT all at once!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Test your product/service idea with people who you would like to buy your product/service prior to starting (not your mum or your friends!)
- Be able to articulate clearly what problem you are solving and why you are the answer.
- Don't throw all your eggs into one basket - ensure you have a revenue stream to pay the bills (which may not be your new business) and build your product/service iteratively based on market feedback.
