What's your business, and who are your customers?
YEAH! Brand Apparel is a DMV-based clothing line that is made for the natives of DMV to put our unique culture on display.
Tell us about yourself
I've always been a creative, so naturally, I like to make things that have meaning. Over the years, the DMV has become a transplant hotspot more than ever. I felt as though our culture was being compromised or diluted, so I wanted to make something that could show the world what kind of identity we have in this area I call home.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
So far, just the networking I've done and the quality of the designs we're producing, and they are all made here in the DMV.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Work-life balance is a struggle as my business is still new and growing, so it doesn't quite pay the bills. So I have a regular job and a family that I have to attend to first and foremost.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make sure you have a niche audience without prejudice that could block new potential consumers.
- Make sure you don't bore yourself or stress yourself with the process, or your results and satisfaction with growing the business will suffer.
- Always network. You have to be making new and nurturing present relationships with people and influencers relevant to your industry.
