What's your business, and who are your customers?
We sell swaddle blankets for all ages/sizes. Our bamboo fabric is stretchy, buttery soft, & a lighter option than most other blankets. Each blanket comes with a drawstring carrying bag made of the same material, making it easy to take on an airplane, movie theater, picnic, & beyond. This is a "take everywhere" blanket perfect for so many things. Our customers are both adventurers and homebodies. Our blankets make for great gifts & have quickly become people's go-to gift for any occasion.
Tell us about yourself
We are a family-owned & run business. Our mom has made the kind of blankets that we sell for years before we started the business. Family & friends kept begging her to make them a blanket, so she figured we should start a business selling them! These blankets have been a part of our lifestyle for years, and we are so happy to be sharing this amazing product with others.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We were featured on Utah's morning show "Good Things Utah" & have also been featured on Jessica Alba's personal Instagram account for her "Small business Saturday" features.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
We know that we have a quality product that hundreds of thousands of people would love, but reaching them is difficult. This is why branding, marketing, & networking is so important.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be generous & others will be generous back.
- Don't be afraid to ask questions. We have received some of the most valuable information from speaking to fellow business owners and asking questions.
- Be consistent with your branding. Stick to certain fonts, colors, etc., so your brand will be recognizable as it grows!
