What's your business, and who are your customers?
We elevate website experiences and branding to help non-profits, charities, and community-based organizations provide better services and raise more donations.
Tell us about yourself
I love tinkering and playing with new tech, and it was that mindset that got me to start playing with making websites in the early 90s for fun. Having worked in various non-profit sectors full-time from 2000 to 2016, I decided there has to be a better agency model to help these organizations desperately need digital and brand support. We love to help; in fact, "help first" is the core value that tops our list. Knowing that the work we're doing is helping, makes us smile.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment, aside from helping over 250 clients, is that we've created a product called MightyNPO.com to help those who are just starting on their NPO journey or those who have limited budgets.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Time management. We're so fortunate to have an amazing team at Wow Digital, but there's so much to do. We get it done, but there are days where we wish we had more time.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Figure out your passion, then figure out how to channel that for a market that could benefit from your output, effort, and time.
- Network. Meet with people. Find out about what they do. Take an honest and sincere approach to it - not everything has to be an attempt to make a sale. Connections will help you.
- Join a mentor program, and get the direct advice that will set you up for success.
