What's your business, and who are your customers?
I teach yoga to women and men who are looking to move their bodies, reconnect with themselves and heal through movement and mindfulness.
Tell us about yourself
I struggled to find my purpose for a long time, and when I began to teach yoga, it finally made sense. This is what I am here to do. My business began as an online offering during a COVID lockdown, and it has grown and flourished into much more than that.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is when people happily continue to attend my classes and when they benefit from my teachings.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I find the hardest thing is tracking finances, but I also struggle with asking people to pay me.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- There's a lot to it; make sure you research and talk to people who run successful and not-so-successful businesses.
- Find out precisely what you want to offer the world and how your clients will best receive it.
- Don't give up when it doesn't work out exactly how you want it to.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I never thought that I would run my own business when I was growing up. Yet here I am, over a year and a half into it. Learning lots, making mistakes, and growing every single day.
