What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a fourth-generation that has modernized a business with over 100 years of history. I sell my product (luxury outerwear) in ultra-modern, chic, invite-only, glamorous experiences. Ladies come with friends, sip champagne, meet the designer, and get styled with a mini education while shopping. Trunk shows in 20 cities across the globe.

Tell us about yourself

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Ten years ago, I saw potential in luxury outerwear and catering to a newer market / my contemporaries. What started off as a shopping visit to my house by friends grew to friends around the globe hosting me and inviting their friends. I love the concept of meeting each client. This has resulted in me growing collections that speak to clients directly.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say being hosted in the sexiest cities around the globe. As well as the media I received from the world's top fashion and business magazines. Forbes, Vogue, WWD, Town and Country, and Elle - to name a few.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Organizing my time properly between motherhood, business, and travel. Overcoming guilt and choking opportunities wisely.

What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Go with your gut.
  2. No one knows your brand as well as you.
  3. Embrace challenges, criticism, errors, and learn from them.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

My business has almost reached ten years. The silver lining of COVID is the way I have learned to pivot my business to not travel as much, and being close to family has been a blessing. I am grateful every day.
