Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey by launching a wellness and fitness business, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Amy Wright owner of P31 Fitness LLC.

What's your business and who are your customers?

Faith-based women's group fitness and our customers are women of all ages and fitness levels.

Tell us about yourself

Weight loss was what got me started to begin with, but it is much more than that. Our health has 4 parts, Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual and P31 Fitness we work on all 4 parts during our workouts. What motivates me each day to do what I do is to help women in their health journey and to be able to share in their victories with them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is having a team of trainers who have come alongside me and share the same passion as I do. Being able to have a team as we have is huge when we are spread out across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Oklahoma like we are.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things as a business owner for me is to know your limits. You must be able to know when to say no because your plate is already full.

What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Set a Budget and stick to it!
  2. Have a great team of support to help!
  3. Don't be afraid to ask for help!

If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?

Marketing, branding your business is huge!

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance?

This one is tough! As a business owner, you are "always on call" per se. But I do put my phone down after five and not checking email.
