What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business name is With Love Joelle, a crystal bracelet and wellness boutique. We sell everything from crystals to crystal bracelets, necklaces, earrings, malas, tarot/oracle cards, and candles. Our customers are from all demographics of people. We work with people who want to start or continue to heal trauma in different forms with the use of mother Earth‘s gems.
Tell us about yourself
I am a mother of two boys and a full-time worker. I started this business in 2020 because I wanted to start healing childhood trauma and generational trauma. What motivates me each day is seeing the stories from clients that I work with on how my bracelet, a crystal, is helping them heal. People are looking for someone they can trust and relate to, to start their journey to healing and freedom.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is having my items for purchase in Canada Black owned marketplace located in Pickering town centre.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is learning to budget your money, your products, and your family time.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do lots of research into the product you’re selling, how much it will cost, and who you’re selling to.
- Make sure you have your bookkeeping up-to-date and your taxes filed on time.
- Invest in a square payment machine or any form of payment machine; it will save you so much time tracking and collecting payments.
- Know that you are your own boss! Your own advertiser and your biggest fan.
