Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Alvaro Peralta of Wired Execs, located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Neuroscience-based Executive Coaching & Experiential Sales Training - My ideal client is a $25M+ business grappling with envisioning, communicating, and implementing a desired change.

Tell us about yourself

I came to coaching & sales through the school of hard knocks on Main Street. Having learned the business through many failures and some successes allowed me to recognize the desire and opportunity to work with others traveling the path behind me. The biggest motivation is experiencing the chasm between the current state my client is in and the fulfillment that the client wishes to achieve. This gap is where the energy lies in my work!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Creating a lifestyle business that has an ongoing impact - this is legacy work.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I wouldn't use the word 'hard.' Hard would be living in a refugee camp separated from your loved ones with minimal access to food, water, and medicine. 'Challenging' is more in tune, perhaps with the intention of the question - I would definitely say that the back office admin is my Achilles heel. I'm in the process of interviewing VAs in hopes of addressing this weakness in my practice.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Duckies seldom line up and don't keep formation.
  2. Work and concentrate on what you have control over.
  3. Concentrate on cash flow instead of profits.
