What's your business, and who are your customers?
I specialize in creating unique brand experiences rooted in thoughtful strategy. With a unique blend of design & illustration experience and business studies, I work collaboratively to develop cohesive, creative strategies and design all aspects of branding. Services include Brand Identity Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, and Creative Strategy. My customers are small to midsize challenger brands who are looking for a creative flare to make their business stand out from competitors.
Tell us about yourself
I was born & raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where I grew up drawing like every other kid. Fortunately, I never gave it up. I loved creating unique stories and characters I could connect with, and nothing has really changed. I just create those unique stories to build connections with entire communities and help grow businesses.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is doing what I love every day. This is what I love doing, what I would be doing in my free time anyway, and now I get to invite others/ and their businesses into that passion and make it work for them too.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things to learn in starting a business is that the work you want to do, the "why" behind your business, will likely take a backseat to the business operations, the day-to-day tasks required to actually do the work you want to be doing.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The first step is to start small. Just start doing the work. Do it for yourself, your roommates, your family, and your friends. Ask the people closest to you if they could use any help solving (what your business solves). Then make it known within your network that this is what you do. Just get the ball rolling and start doing the work. Get really good at it, and the leads come on their own.
