Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Wendie Aston, Owner of Green on the Scene Wellness & Fertility, located in Westbury, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Helping couples attain optimal health in order to conceive a healthy, happy baby with diet and lifestyle changes. Women who need help balancing their cycle naturally. Anyone with anxiety, fear, or trauma can be helped with Hypnosis.

Tell us about yourself

I suffered infertility for 5 years and was misdiagnosed, doctor after doctor until I finally took charge of my health and combined traditional and holistic modalities to conceive. I was able to conceive three children naturally, restore my health and improve my husband's sperm health. I know it can be done; I studied nutrition, reiki, hypnotherapy, sound healing, LEED construction, and became as nontoxic as possible. While not everyone needs to change everything, small changes can lead to large rewards. I started out with my home environment, which can be full of toxins, then my beauty products, cleaners, and food/supplements. Then you can take the things you can't see, like trauma from childhood, other relationships, fears, and mental blocks of becoming a bad parent. This list of emotional and mental blocks on fertility is many and often overlooked. By uncovering each client's symptoms and restoring all aspects of health, conception can be achieved much easier. I love a good challenge and like to play detective to find out what the root cause of infertility could be and how to optimize fertility. Once a couple is pregnant, I then help them achieve a natural birth, if that is their intention, with Hypnobirthing.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Hearing all the stories of happy births, even after C-sections. The ladies who conceived after they thought donor eggs were the only option.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Juggling life and managing time well.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Have confidence, know your customer, and know your purpose.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

If there is a fire in your soul to be a parent, I will do all I can to help you achieve that goal.
