Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Harley R. McDaniel, M.D., Director of Research of Wellness Quest, LLC., located in Grand Prairie, TX, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
The results of 36 years of research have led to the development of more comprehensive nutrition marketed as NEW EDEN. This is a dietary supplement offered under the auspices of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 ( DHSHEA).
No claim to treat or cure a disease, syndrome, or abnormal health condition is made. This is an improvement to the urban food supply to support normal nutrition for the normal cellular synthesis of normal bioactive compounds that conduct normal biochemistry and physiology to support normal health.
Tell us about yourself
I was enlisted in 1985 to be a medical consultant for Carrington Laboratories Inc. ( now bankrupt and liquidated), which raised 20 million dollars for research to make a new FDA pharmaceutical drug from the active principle in aloe vera leaf gel. The research was conducted by 12 academic Institutions on contract. Efforts were thrown out of the FDA for 1`. No toxicity could be found in FDA studies. 2. Every deviation from normal physical, mental and emotional health improved if the identified acetylated mannose ( acemannan) was taken.
This is medical and pharmaceutical heresy and not wanted. Only the DSHEA act alerted us that this was an unrecognized nutritional moiety used in cellular synthesis to make a cell membrane domain for a cell to cell communication and harmony of all the body's cells. Over 50 professionals worked in the 1980s and have moved on or died. I am the only one still active due to the incredible scope of health benefits of restoration that have accumulated over North America and over ten foreign countries.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We were given a $200,000.00 grant to research Alzheimer's Disease. At the Miller School of Medicine, in cooperation with the Miami Jewish Health Service, a clinical pilot study was conducted in which 69% of early-mid and advanced dementia patients improved memory and cognition.
Caregivers state a 100% benefit in that all patients were happier and more cooperative, and their quality of life was elevated. Adult stem cells increased to nearly 400%, and serum on entry and exit showed brain-derived neuro-growth factor was elevated. These are mechanisms of action, and no toxicity or organ damage was found.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
It is against federal law ( stated in the DSHEA act)_ due to crony capitalism for the benefit of BIG PHARMA and the Sickness Industry to inform professionals or the nation's citizens of these remarkable benefits. Research funding for nutritional research virtually does not exist to prove hard to believe benefits acemannan offers people in desperate need. This is an ancient disruptive technology that challenges general public knowledge, science, and medicine.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Focus and persistence.
- Always seek quality and human benefits.
- Put service to people in their needs ahead of maximum profit. I am not computer literate in regard to the next section!
