What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a functional medicine MedSpa located in beautiful Anacortes, Washington. Our entire focus is on optimizing our patients, their health, looks, and love of life! We see men and women ages 18-100, anyone interested in being an active participant in their health.
Tell us about yourself
This has always been my dream. I envisioned a healing environment where people could feel safe discussing their most personal health and wellness issues, knowing that they would be heard and helped.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
In 10 months, we have grown from a one-room clinic to a full MedSpa, offering the latest innovative health and aesthetic care.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Delegation! I want to do it all myself, but I know in order to be really good at what I do, which is Functional Medicine, I need to stay in my lane, hire professionals and give them space!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Write a business plan, a realistic one. You should be able to walk through your business in your mind, seeing each piece as it comes together. Find great eyes other than your own to see your business and help you fine-tune. Don't undersell yourself, be the best at whatever you do, and don't undercharge. Women especially have a hard time with imposter syndrome and often feel like they don't have the chops to provide whatever service they are passionate about. Don't let that fear run you!
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Walking into this clinic every morning is the best part of my day. Looking forward to a day full of truly listening, hearing, and coming together with my patients to formulate a plan they can stick with, see real results and achieve optimum health is a dream come true!
