Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lindsay Corzine, founder of Well Life Health Coaching, located in Jacksonville Beach, FL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a personal trainer and nutrition coach with a full line of health and wellness products designed to help my clients feel their best from the inside out. My customers are from all walks of life. I serve men and women ranging in age. If you're ready to focus on self-care and want to become a healthier version of yourself, there is a place for you with Well Life Health Coaching! The folks I serve want to see positive results in their body composition, energy levels, skin, and more, and they do.

Tell us about yourself

I first got started in the health and wellness space after 18 years as a banker in the corporate grind. After having two children, I wasn't happy with the way I looked or felt, so I went through my own health and wellness journey. It was that experience that shaped the next steps for me career-wise. I realized my heart was not in banking; it was in health and wellness. I no longer wanted to define my success by the size of my paycheck, 401k balance, job title, or anything else superficial. I now define it by how many lives I can impact in a day, week, month, etc. My clients keep me going. Their progress is inspiring, and I feel lucky to do something I love.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is not quitting. It sounds simple, but it's not. Running a business has so many ups and downs, but the only way to truly fail is to quit.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Juggling it all. If you are a sole proprietor like me, you do it all - the marketing, bookkeeping, networking, phone calls, follow-up's, and servicing clients. It all falls on you, and it's hard to be the expert at everything.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be kind to yourself. You can't do it all and be perfect at it all.
  2. Stay committed to learning as much about your craft as possible.
  3. Hire out for the things you aren't so great with and don't have time to get better at.
