What's your business, and who are your customers?
Wanderlust Wine Co. is known to be The World's Largest Wine on Tap Winery based in Austin, Texas. The concept revolves around a large selection of keg wines from around the world and are self-poured by the patrons, allowing for a more sustainable, accessible, and fun tasting room environment for all wine lovers! Our customers are any who enjoy a glass of wine and wish to discover new wines from around the world, all while making a positive impact in the world.
Tell us about yourself
Having worked in the wine industry for over a decade, I decided to pursue my own endeavor that would focus on the areas I saw an opportunity and need in while also making a positive impact. I discovered keg wines and the lower carbon footprint they carried when compared with traditional wine bottles, and I decided to go all in on a project that I was passionate about and would allow me to feel motivated to continue the mission every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having opened in the pandemic, it was such a feat to have been able to withstand the various challenges of COVID-19, open a second location, and continue to grow even with all that has come our way. Related to this, our biggest feat continues to be seeing our team grow and become more successful and increase their skill set, professional experiences, and certifications. Our team recently became certified sommeliers through courses that the business was able to procure, and we are very excited about the continued education opportunities that will allow our team to grow continuously!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Continuously being open-minded to new ideas and concepts while not losing sight of the main business or operations in hopes of staying innovative and relevant in the market!
