Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in coaching but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kristen Joy, Founder of Voluptuous Life, located in San Rafael, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My aim is to help more women be #FullOfThemselves (honoring the fullness of who they are at a body, heart, mind, and spirit level) and offering products and services that are gentle on Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants.

A Voluptuous Life overflows with the blessings connected to all 6 of our senses. 6? Yup, your 6th sense- your woman's intuition & connection to truth/source/soul (whatever you want to call that spark in all of us) is also explored & celebrated.

My style of coaching and our mindfulness products are designed to connect you to your Inner Wise Woman, whose voice often gets stifled by this modern world. She has the answers if you prioritize listening to her.

Tell us about yourself

I am on a journey to uncover the truth of who I am without all the learned labels, titles, thoughts, and restrictions that society and modern life throw at us. I want as many women as possible to step into their truth. I have watched way too many people take "bad advice" that stifled their body's, heart's, mind's, and soul's personal power leading them to imbalance and disease. Giving your entire being the proper support it needs and deserves for true wellness is possible.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Showing up with an open heart and a clear mind to serve the highest good while staying aligned with my morals and values.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Staying inspired when unhelpful thoughts cloud my mind about whether what I do makes enough of a difference in the world.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Take time to get quiet and disconnect from outside influence, advice, and guidance. No one knows what you are truly capable of more than your Inner Wisdom.
  2. Be mindful of who you do take advice from. Are they qualified, and do you want what they have achieved?
  3. Do what it takes to get and stay inspired every day- and remember, sometimes that means DOing less and BEing more.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

If you are honest with yourself, there is one thing you know is holding you back from your highest good. Take steps and get support to shift that.
