What's your business, and who are your customers?
At VICI Wellness, we believe everyone deserves to feel healthy and self-empowered. Our customized natural products are crafted in-house to help support you in being the best version of yourself. VICI Wellness strives to bring new options for those suffering from common struggles such as migraines, anxiety, mental focus, lack of sleep and energy, depression, and many other familiar hurdles. We are truly touched reading the stories and testimonials that so many of our customers send us, and we will continue to develop these natural options to help support and help balance our minds, the body, and emotions.
Tell us about yourself
I was personally looking for new options to help myself with my own struggles. I started doing research into plants, nutrients, homeopathy, and ayurvedic to help heal and support my own personal health challenges. What I discovered were natural options that offered me relief, that was easy and very convenient to use. Every week I take the time to read emails and testimonials from our customers; it truly touches my heart reading how much our products have helped so many people, naturally. VICI will continue to make new products, so everyone has the option to support themselves and their body and feel better about themselves using products that come from nature.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
VICI Wellness is a women-owned and operated company, which myself and my business partner Kymbirley Brake have put everything into it and have done so by self-investing in ourselves to develop it. We are proud to also donate to the non-profit Kiley Alexis Benefit, which helps low-income families with special needs children (https://www.kileyalexisbenefit.com/) alongside making affordable and natural products for our customers.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Owning and operating a company is hard work that doesn't go without difficult and challenging times. We strive to keep our products available and affordable for everyone; with rising shipping, advertising, operational, and materials costs, we truly do everything we can to not pass on these increases to our customers through our products. It is so important to us that anyone who wants to try and use our products doesn't have to struggle to afford them.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I have the pleasure of speaking with many women who have an idea to own and operate their own businesses. My feedback is truly believed in every part of your idea and yourself; you must have the passion, self-drive, and perseverance it takes to overcome any obstacle in front of you. It is ok to have self-doubt at times, but you must have the ability to kick those thoughts to the curb and simply believe in yourself and your product, company mission, and what you can accomplish. The key is to invest in yourself and your idea and be your biggest advocate.
