I'm a Lifestyle Podcaster; my customers are women 40+.
Tell us about yourself
I owned a contemporary clothing boutique in West Houston that I absolutely love, but I closed it just as COVID was shutting down all retail. That led to my need for an outlet for my creativity and passions. A place for teaching and communicating with the world. I'm motivated to publish consistently by the stories that I share on my podcast. I know that they inspire my audience to elevate everything they do and lead a life that they create with joy and excitement.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The connections I've made with my guests and how they impact our everyday life has been so rewarding and amazing. I'm grateful to bring my listeners lessons learned and ideas for personal growth.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Getting ourselves known to the world outside of our closest friends and followers. Marketing and promotion is a special skill set that not every business owner understands, and it takes a real amount of consistency to get our brand known to the masses.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I would say to anyone looking to start a business to consider if you truly have the time, energy, and resources to start a business; these three get depleted rather quickly, and it takes a big belief in yourself to continue. I would also recommend that you find people to help you who know about the things you do not, don't waste your time trying to learn something when that zaps you from actually working on where you best can serve. Finally, I would say to network a lot, get out of your comfort zone and share your business and projects with the world. No one knows what you do or who you are unless you tell them.
