What's your business, and who are your customers?

Our services fall under administrative, business support services, marketing, author support, human resources, graphic design, website design and development, and human resources. Our clients are ambitious, inspiring, and creative professionals who are up to big things and inspiring others. We help them ditch the frustration and burnout so they can get things done and get time back to spend on what matters most.

Our client list includes coaches, authors, DJs/music producers, PR agency owners, and women-owned businesses in trades, including custom upholstery and general contracting. Our core values are integrity, ambition, inspiration, alignment, and collaboration.

Tell us about yourself

My background is in event and project management. I had transitioned into Human Resources after working in events for ~10 years. I worked in HR at an event and association management company for approximately one year, and when COVID hit, I was laid off. An unfruitful job search combined with a focus on personal development during 2020 led me to coach. I began a Habits Coaching business called Habitually Powerful in January 2021.

A few months in, many of my clients began requesting support in learning time management skills, scheduling strategies, and "getting organized." I saw an opportunity and alignment with my skills and began offering virtual assistant services in May of 2021. The business expanded quickly, and by the end of the year, I was onboarding freelancers to support myself and my clients. I closed up shop on my coaching business and rebrand/relaunch the virtual business support services as Vibe High VA in May 2022.

I am passionate about supporting inspiring creative entrepreneurs and small business owners who are making a difference in this world and impacting others. My clients inspire me, and I am constantly learning and growing personally and professionally as a result of my work with them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment has been providing young professionals with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a healthy, safe work environment where we get to learn and have fun. The best part about being in my position is that while I am learning and receiving mentorship in some senses from my clients, I am able to mentor and coach my team members too. I get great satisfaction from this.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is learning how to say no.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get clear on what you don't know and hire the right people to take care of those pieces.
  2. Put your health and the health of your team first.
  3. Focus on alignment with values when building relationships and choosing clients and team members.
