What's your business, and who are your customers?

We offer a wide variety of Digital Marketing services, including Web Design, SEO, Social Media, and PPC. We've recently added Podcast Production, Video Production, and editing to our list of services with a new 4,000 studio located in the heart of Las Vegas.

Tell us about yourself

I've been in Marketing for about 25 years, and in 2006 I was introduced to Internet marketing as a partner in a Dental Marketing company. After selling that company in 2010, I spent a few years meddling in different projects. In 2018 we formed Vertex Visibility and have been thriving ever since.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Taking a company from conception to profitability is a great sense of pride. However, my greatest pleasure comes from helping other businesses accomplish their goals. I can't think of a greater satisfaction.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

My biggest challenge to this point has been delegation and letting go. Over the years, I've learned just about every facet of running a business, from Accounting to Marketing, Sales, and Production. In the early stages of starting a business, you do everything yourself, which makes scalability impossible. Around 2021 I found myself working 10 to 12-hour days, 7 days a week. Obviously, this wasn't sustainable, and after some deep personal analysis, I realized that my time would be much better spent doing what I do best, which is sales, and the only way I could focus effectively on that was to hire people to do anything and everything that pulled me from selling. It only took me three years to figure it out and then another year fully letting go. It has been life-changing; even more importantly, the company's revenues have skyrocketed.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Save money for Marketing.
  2. Hire people who care as much as you do about their performance.
  3. Allow people to do what you hired them to do and be surprised that they are actually better at what you hired them to do than you are.
