What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is a real estate brokerage. My customers are buyers in sellers of residential and commercial real estate in the triad and triangle areas of the state of North Carolina.

Tell us about yourself

I got started in real estate while working in the field of mental health. I wanted to be a better advocate for my clients. I continue in this field for my family and my legacy.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening the doors to my own firm.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The ebbs and flows of income are the hardest things about entrepreneurship.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Learn all you can about your field.
  2. Work twice as hard as your competitors and value your clients or customers.
  3. Customer service can make you or break you.
