What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business consists of growing fruits, vegetables, and grains and converting them into seasonings, sauces, and flour (cornmeal). These products are made for whoever loves to cook or grill, even for those who are learning how to cook. Some products are used for hair recipes, so hair stylists are some of our new customers.
Tell us about yourself
I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. This business is named after my late sister Veronica James (who passed away on March 6, 2015). I started this business to keep my sister’s memory alive. She loved everything about cooking, growing her own foods, and the in-depth cooking and recipes. The motivation of this journey is when someone purchases a product, and they are willing to learn the story and have an unforgettable taste leaving them wanting more for their taste buds!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Actually turning an idea into a physical business with physical products. The visual I had has turned into reality.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Running the business (dehydrating, packaging, shipping, making other products, promotion) and having a full-time job.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Having a plan, dedication, and hitting all goals (have a minor goal and major goal).
