Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with einav avni, Founder of Untangled Coaching, located in Sutton, Surrey, UK.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I call myself a 'Pain-free living' specialist, and I help people with chronic pain, illness, or unexplained medical condition, heal, reduce, or release their symptoms. I do this with a proven method of energy healing and healing conversations.
Tell us about yourself
I started out as a Confidence and Empowerment Coach, working with people to recognize their negative voices and limiting beliefs that were holding them back. Nowadays, I use the same conversations in my healing work because our negative voice, our belief systems, and our habits are the core elements of what keeps our physical symptoms alive.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Every client I help is my biggest achievement. Other than that, having published my ebook series was a great accomplishment. (4 ebooks under the umbrella name of 'invest in your team's confidence and empowerment,' as well as some speaking engagements and awards I received.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Having to wear all the hats and finding the wisdom and motivation to keep on going even when nothing known is showing on the horizon.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- The worry about putting yourself out there, about the haters, and about 'what will they say' is very normal. Instead of focusing on your fears, concentrate on the people you want to help - how appreciative they will be when you show up with all your wisdom and light. They are the people for whom you do all this. Also, the haters rarely have the time of day to check out what you are up to!
- Have a support system. Find people in a similar service area (e.g., coaching) and at a similar level to yours and meet with them on a regular basis to have someone to hold you accountable to share success and fears stories. These people will be the most important support you can have.
- Trust that you don't need yet another certificate - what you already have is already good enough. You may be new to it, but you've earned your wisdom from the day you were born. Own it! (unless, of course, you are a doctor, etc...)
