What's your business, and who are your customers?
UndiWash is a plant-based vegan laundry detergent; it kills the bacteria that cause vaginal infections.
Tell us about yourself
I started Undiwash because I was tired of getting bacterial infections! I work at a Gynecology office, so I knew I was not alone. The fact that bacterial vaginosis is the most common vaginal infection that can be prevented keeps me motivated. A lot of people do not have the knowledge of why this happens, so that means it will be harder to avoid.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment to date is that I have changed the lives of hundreds of women. I provide a product that also comes with the education to have a healthier vagina.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things for me is finding the capital to make sure my brand can compete with the leading detergents. Funding has always been a crutch for a lot of entrepreneurs.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it scared.
- Imposter Syndrome is real.... It's ok to doubt that you have what it takes, but when your gift is showing you that what you have makes a difference, just keep going.
- Build a team that will help you get to your end goal. You can not do it all and still enjoy what you have built.
