What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is Uncharted Supply Co. We build products designed to help people navigate unforeseen emergencies while adventuring and during large-scale emergencies.
Tell us about yourself
I've spent a significant amount of my life in war zones, remote wilderness, and generally in dangerous situations. I've learned firsthand how simple tools can effectively change a situation for the better. My goal is to make the world a safer place for all by providing high-quality, easy-to-use tools and instruction that save the day for the end user.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I'm proud that we build uncompromising products that are used, trusted, and loved by government agencies, private security groups, and individuals in over 150 countries. These products have saved countless days and lives for our customers.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Navigating an ever-changing world has several challenges. From supply chain issues to quickly changing macro environments to advertising regulations and changes, there is something to improve upon constantly.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find a product that uniquely solves a problem for a large addressable market.
- Scale slowly while you learn about your brand, products and customers.
- Do not compromise on quality and authenticity.
