Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and supplements but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Melissa Hozack, President of TruMe Whole Health, located in Medicine Hat, AB, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a company focused on bringing low-carb, healthy, sugar and color-free products to our consumers. Our customers are mostly in the weight loss industry, but also athletes and people who like to work out in gyms!

Tell us about yourself

I am a pharmacist of 22 years and have focused my practice on therapeutic nutrition, health, and weight loss using a low-carb approach for the past ten years. I wanted to bring something to my patients without sugar, artificial colors, or stimulants, and good sourced products that were missing in their daily regimen.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Appearing on the cover of national pharmacy magazines for my accomplishments, our company is growing and also won the new business of the year with the local Chamber of Commerce.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Managing everything with very little resources, cash flow, and growth!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Know your customer, know your products, and be the expert in your industry!
