What's your business, and who are your customers?

True Advancer Consulting Inc. (TAC) specializes in early-stage projects and business development with a primary focus on technologies related to Green and Renewable Energy and Products, as well as environmental remediation/restoration projects. TAC offers technology consulting through its credentials and experience in R&D in science and technology and its international network in environmental projects. The company also provides project funding opportunities through consulting and its privileges of working with a number of financial professionals, including high-level financial officers as well as high-value assets management companies and individuals.

Tell us about yourself

My name is Yong ~ an inventor, business connector, and promoter of Green and Renewable Energy related technologies and products, a project called "True Advancer." I leverage my 20+ years of experience in research & development on scientific studies and high-tech product design and development during my earlier careers. I decided to embark on a new venture upon settling down in Canada in 2012. We started by exploring the potential of Green products and technology and have successfully built our business network by connecting our manufacturing and business partners to the market in different countries. We have applied our unique business model and strategy to developing and promoting a multi-million project in India based on the state-of-the-art 2nd Generation (2G) Bio-Refinery Technology which converts agricultural waste and biomass into energy and products. We leverage our multi-lingual, multi-culture, and multi-discipline position to bridge the gap between companies and entrepreneurs from different parts of the world. We put a strong focus on understanding the need of each project nature, and we made an in-depth effort to develop unique strategies and teamwork for different cases that offer a strong basis for our project partners to work together with the common belief that is essential for us to achieve our success story. Yong recently provided consultation as a project advisor to a national-scale semiconductor manufacturing plant setup project in which Yong connects investors to major international technology providers through the collaborative effort with other like-minded consulting companies.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I succeeded in building startup businesses with international partners, which bridged the gap between technology providers and my partners. I managed to introduce advanced Green and Renewable technologies to the national level of different countries through the partnership. These technologies include the conversion of agricultural wastes into bioethanol and bioplastic production, as well as the rapid composting of organic wastes into soil conditioners and fertilizers. These achievements were attributed to Yong's experience in closing the gap between cultures and languages and success in accomplishing strong international relations based on the cultivation of Trust and Confidence between all parties.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest part of all is project financing. After nearly a hundred failures in attempts to obtain investments from investors and venture capital companies, I decided to take my own venture to raise funds in search of a sustainable financing strategy. With perseverance, I invested years researching and finding the right path. After many trials and errors, failure after failure, I finally managed to build my own financial network consisting of high-level financial specialists, high-value asset management companies, and financial consulting companies. This network will allow Yong and his partners, as well as his clients, to acquire financing with a sustainable strategy.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My take from my own 20+ years in scientific and high-tech research and development works, plus 10+ years experience in Green and Renewable energies, and what I have learned from the financial world can be summarized below:

  1. Setting a "Mission" in life towards what you would like to do for better the life of yourself and others.
  2. Research and learn with perseverance and a "never give up" spirit on the path and strategy that will lead you to your destination.
  3. Build your own network with people who will help you accomplish your goal with full trust and confidence in the people you choose to work with.
