What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are Truck Norris food truck. Serving up comfort and classics with a twist. From Totchos to Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls. To STL Cheesesteak Burrito to so much more. Our customers are people looking for something different to eat. Something that has bold flavors and will have you wanting more.
Tell us about yourself
I have no formal food background. But I was always a guy that loved food and loved making people smile. I wanted to get out of my everyday corporate life and get on the road. I have always loved food and loved giving great customer experiences. So here I am. The motivation is to become the best food truck around.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is becoming one of the top trucks in the area in a short period of time. We have been ranked in the top 3 food trucks in the area for 5 years.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Like most, staffing is an ongoing issue. Plus, mixing in higher food costs on top of that.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do your research. Make sure you're not the 30th taco truck in the area. If you are, STAND OUT.
- Don't settle for average. If you're going to serve food. Serve the best. If you're going to give customer service. Give the best.
- Finally, surround yourself with like-minded people. People who will lift you up. Not bring you down.
