What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are an eCommerce optimization agency that helps B2B and B2C brands execute their online opportunity better.

Tell us about yourself

I started the business as I saw a clear need back in 2005 for functional support within eCommerce functions within businesses of all sizes. What motivates me each day is the vast opportunity to grow our brand and our customers' brands through our work.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment would be growing the business to over $5mm in annualized revenue without ever taking a penny of external investment. It enabled us to grow the right way, treat our employees the way they deserve to be treated, and scale at the pace we needed.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Uncertainty into macroeconomic factors. We survived the 2008 financial crisis and COVID, but both were incredibly trying on myself.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. You can achieve anything you believe. Always start there.
  2. Find and hire people that are better than you in key operational areas.
  3. Automate as much as you can and use automation to build an audience for your expertise.
