Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in consultancy but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kevin Pereau, CEO of TranscendIT Health, located in Walnut Creek, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Our mission is to help healthcare innovators, payers, and providers get maximum value from their digital health investments and initiatives by leveraging our domain expertise and network of C-level relationships.

Tell us about yourself

I transitioned to healthcare about 12 years ago from the tech sector because I believe healthcare's problems are fixable. I started writing about healthcare for a simple reason, what good is all this innovation if nobody knows about it?

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Defining and delivering a healthy meal delivery program for seniors along with writing two best-selling books.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Turning away business because we are at capacity.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Ask yourself a simple question, why am I doing this? Am I solving a real-world problem or just chasing money? Be true to your values, and remember there is a huge difference between innovators and operators. If you are an innovator, you are ahead of your time, and that makes others uncomfortable.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am a native Vermonter. I played professional basketball in Europe, and I love being on the Board of Directors at Monument Impact, a mission-driven organization in our community that helps immigrants get equal access to the American dream.
