Tell us all about your business...

Investor/trader community with tools, forums, trading groups, and guest speakers. It is a paid service to follow expert traders in real-time.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a solopreneur?

My teacher for a night school class in college was a CBOE market maker who got me interested in options trading in 1982. I later was a student (later worked for) a former CBOE market maker for 6-1/2 years. After leaving that job, I started my own business. I love options trading, and my passion is to share and help other options traders.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Building a community of like-minded options traders.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a solopreneur?

I never get a day off.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a passion for what you're doing.
  2. Don't plan on immediate income.
  3. Always be learning and improving.

If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?

Write articles for your blog. They are like little annuities.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?

My business revolves around U.S. market hours. In Colorado, that ends around 2:30 PM. I spend time with my wife and run errands after that.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Create a public website with a blog and a social media presence. I use YouTube primarily. Learn some copywriting as it helps with emails, advertising, etc. Breakthrough Advertising is a must-read book.
