Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal care but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Claudine Piechotta, Founder of Totally Soap Co. LLC., located in Doylestown, PA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

TOTALLY SOAP CO. is an all-natural soap company with a "scent" of humor. We make soaps, linen sprays, cuticle cream, chapsticks, and other bath and home products using natural oils, butter, colorants, and scents. All our products have a story and usually a bit of whimsy or humor.

Tell us about yourself

I am a Theatre Director and Writer by profession, a wedding and private event planner by employment, and a soap maker for the fun and creativity of all. Born out of the void of Covid, in an 1803 Farmhouse surrounded by fields of clover- what else would I do?

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Learning a brand new skill from no prior background and taking that product to market.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Finding the time to balance my small business with another business and family.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be passionate about the core of what you do.
  2. Never be afraid to take things slowly (if you can).
  3. Be ok with being wrong sometimes.
