What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help mid-life women navigate big life transitions by teaching them to develop emotional resilience and the courage, confidence, clarity, and creativity that accompany emotional strength.

Tell us about yourself

I trained as a psychotherapist and started practicing Ashtanga yoga and mindfulness meditation in the same week. These three threads informed my own radical healing and awakening process, and I am passionate about sharing these tools with other women who may not yet believe in their own capacity to heal and transform.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I taught wellness programs at exclusive retreat centers and luxury resorts all across South and Southeast Asia for the better part of fifteen years, including a two-year stint managing the yoga program at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Central Hong Kong and another two-year stint teaching yoga at several five-star resorts in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Feeling like I wear too many hats! I am not that tech-savvy, so it is a challenge for me to stay on top of all that goes into teaching and coaching online.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Develop a daily practice to check in with yourself and your state of mind.
  2. Learn to meditate.
  3. Get outside in nature as often as possible.
