What's your business, and who are your customers?

Tell us about yourself

I am the Wall Street Journal and USA Today Best Selling Author of the Book, "Legendary" and the founder of the Legendary Life Movement.… A movement that empowers driven people to be Pros in Leadership, Business, Mindset, & Relationships. I challenge high achievers to stop chasing the Ghost of "More" & "When" and lean into the Legendary leaders, spouses, and humans they were born to be.

As a Premiere Leadership, business, relationship, and mindset coach who is a regularly featured keynote speaker at global events, I began my 20-year corporate career at one of the largest financial consulting firms in the world, and eventually became a shareholder, in the International Practice Leader, and a member of the board of directors for one of the largest public accounting and financial firms in the southeast U.S.

At the top of this career, I experienced a transformational moment inspiring me to walk away from the corporate world to change my life and follow my true calling.

I now serve clients and audiences everywhere by empowering them to build and live Legendary Lives. I guide people to discover a life of significance without compromising their drive or ambition. The simple tools I share show them how to work in their zone of brilliance, obtain financial confidence, and live with meaning and balance. The goal is to help everybody become the person they’ve always wanted to be.

When I’m not speaking or serving his clients, I enjoy traveling the world, hiking, and spending quality time with my wife, Heather Breedlove, and two dogs, Annie and Hodges Piper.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We’ve literally, in less than two years, transformed thousands of lives. Not only by helping them be ridiculously successful leaders, pros in the business, and achieving financial success, but also by building world-class leaders, fathers, husbands, wives, and friends.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is caring too much. I care so much about the business, our members, and our people. Sometimes we, as leaders, want it more than they do. Our expectations are often unreasonable for ourselves and for our people and this can be a struggle. It’s difficult for us to see what people need and how they can reach their goals and then watch them not do what it takes to reach their maximum potential. This is what keeps me up at night.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Is to make sure people want to buy your product. (This is very important!)
  2. Have to have a solid understanding of operations, administration, sales, and accounting – it’s not a want, this is a need.
  3. Never ever give up. This is an incredibly hard journey and the truly successful have stick-to-it-iveness. It’s easy to quit, but sticking to it is what makes us elite… or not.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

We must prioritize our physical, emotional, and spiritual muscles first so we can be world-class leaders, entrepreneurs, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, and friends. We must prioritize ourselves first. If we don’t lead ourselves first, will cannot lead others.
