Tell us about yourself

I am a lover of the beauties of life. Professionally, I am a licensed professional counselor turned transformational life coach and retreat leader. I use my experience and education in personal development, integrated psychotherapy, psychology, psychosomatic healing methods, and solution-focused coaching to help my clients actively shape their way to well-being and success. I guide women to have a fulfilled life that aligns with their soul's purpose, using the power of self-confidence, their mind and body connection, and inner transformational techniques.

My focus is always on healing all parts of the person, not just the physical body, but rather the emotional body, the spiritual body. My journey of self-development started when I was a teenager. I thought I started this journey to help others, and I have learned over the years that it is also a journey of my own evolution. What keeps me going every day is knowing that this is bigger than me and that "when sleeping women wake, mountains move."

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

At 28 years old, I become the owner of my private practice for mental health. After being in service for seven years, I saw a need for my expertise outside of therapy. I took a huge leap to expand my services to online coaching and hosting retreats. I am most proud of this because it totally pushed me beyond my comfort zone. I had to confront my own fears, insecurities, and limiting beliefs. I had to choose to learn how to market myself and the business that I so deeply loved. I worked to overcome my introverted tendencies to fully show up in the world. I consider this my biggest accomplishment because it felt easier at times to just play small and stay in the background. However, I am so grateful I made intentional decisions to do something different. It has been tremendously rewarding to see women learn to heal themselves and transform their lives.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Entrepreneurship has many ups and downs. One of the hardest things I have had to face was moving from a solo entrepreneur to the CEO of my business. I found it difficult to let go of my vision and entrust it in the hands of other capable individuals. I was afraid that something would happen or that they would not do things the way I would. I came to realize that letting go freed me up to do more of the things I love and allowed others to do things they do best. My saying became, "because I can do, does not mean I should." I love my team, and I am grateful that I grew in this area.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. First, I want to say starting, running, or growing a business takes a lot of courage. Congratulations on just considering this for yourself!
One of the best lessons that I have learned that I would share is to remember that your business growth is depended on your personal growth. You can only take your business as far as you are willing to grow. Growth is not comfortable, but it is so rewarding.
  2. Secondly, I would encourage you to be teachable and be supported by a coach, therapist, or expert in your industry. You can cut the learning curve and avoid pitfalls on your journey. I love the proverb that says, "if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others."
  3. Lastly, I would offer that the fear never goes away. I know from my work and own experience this is a common challenge. Whenever we are considering taking a risk, our brains are wired to keep us as safe as possible. This "safety feature" can also misinterpret sensory information and trigger a false alarm. I have learned how to develop a relationship with the fear to better understand why it is showing up and how I can decrease the fear. Fear does not have to stop you. You can actually learn how to use it as fuel to accomplish your goals.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Always remember that your personal transformation has the power to make a massive imprint on the world.
