Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with ShaRon Rea, Founder of The Whole Family Coaching, located in Scottsdale, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

With The Whole Family Coaching business, my clients are families raising teens, co-parenting after divorce, single fathers, grandparents, and every caregiver committed to raising happy, well-adjusted children of any age.

Tell us about yourself

I am excited about my life, work, and global movement, No Judgment. Just Love.® I have found ways to experience the joys of life without so much stress or drama. What motivates me in business, as a life and family coach, is to educate and inspire people to create deeper connections with themselves, so they can build relationships with others that are filled with love, respect, and cooperation. And through No Judgment. Just Love.®, I am encouraged to see so many people choosing to move beyond judgments that divide us and consciously leading with unconditional allowance in their thoughts, words, and actions. I know this will genuinely help us relate to each other better.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As the saying goes, I’m flying the plane as I’m building it. From the beginning, 12 years ago, I’ve been willing to try new ideas, follow my intuition, learn new skills and celebrate at least one accomplishment every day.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

A challenge for me as a business owner is being a one-woman shop. As society and technology change, I’ve had to learn to do things I didn’t think I could and, at the same time, improve my more natural skill sets.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Create a business from what you are passionate about. It’s true that even though there will be hard work, it won’t always feel that way if you love what you do.
  2. Be a constant learner and vulnerable enough to ask for advice from people and places you trust.
  3. Understand the value of trying something new and how often that will lead to success.
