What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Vaginacologist is an online educational platform teaching all about "the things going on down there." Women of all ages, but mostly targeting women after childbirth and the peri and postmenopausal age ranges (40-65 y/o).
Tell us about yourself
My day profession is as a urogynecologist. I treat problems such as loss of bladder control, loss of bowel control, loss of sexual function, and sagging vaginas. My night profession is as an educator to teach women how to prevent the conditions I treat in my office and the operating room. My professional world vision is to drastically reduce the amount of vaginal and bladder dysfunctions through early education to empower women to take control of their reproductive health. This education will increase the quality of life for women all around the world!
I provide women of all ages with essential education, female empowerment, advanced female pelvic medicine, reconstructive surgeries of the pelvic floor, gynecologic and aesthetic procedures. My philosophy is to present extraordinary healthcare throughout a woman's life by treating the whole person (body, mind, and spirit). I will continue to provide the information that will empower women to take an active role in their own reproductive health during all stages of their lives.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Getting the information out to women everywhere that have been a game changer in the lives of women, such that they can regain their dignity and establish healthy relationships in their personal and professional lives.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
To not let the obstacles, difficulties, and "nay-sayers" set me back and keep me from moving ahead toward this passion to empower women in their health.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Set reasonable goals, both in the short and long term.
- Set a budget with A LOT of wiggle room.
- Get the best people on your team and treat them superbly and pay them well.
