What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Sukha Life is a lifestyle brand focused on living easy. Sukha means ease or comfort in Sanskrit. My customers are women over 40 going through life transitions. I offer 1:1 and group sessions using what I call Heart Therapy (c). This is a unique blend of modalities that facilitates emotional healing to move easily through these transitions.
Tell us about yourself
Through my own experience with anxiety and panic attacks, I decided there had to be an easier way to live. I began focusing on ways to rid myself of anxiety. Kundalini yoga, reiki, meditation, sound healing, and working to understand emotional health are the practices that got rid of my anxiety. What motivates me everyday is knowing that everyone is either hurting or healing from something. We don't always know why or how to find support, but we know we need it.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is seeing my clients feel better and knowing the reasons behind how they feel. This gives them the confidence to live life on their terms.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a solopreneur, it's determining where to put my efforts. I've recently discovered that all my clients are people I've met in person, not through digital or social platforms. I am now pivoting to focus on in-person sessions and less on social platforms. That feels good.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Define your customer and get to know them.
- Set clear boundaries for yourself. Be prepared to say no and be okay with it.
- Develop a mindset of abundance, and you won't slide into worry and doubt.
