What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a community builder passionate about designing and building beautiful outdoor spaces and curating amazing conversations.
Tell us about yourself
I started the group Black Women Who Love Outdoor Living Spaces when the pandemic hit. I decided to retreat to my favorite space (outside) and find peace. While deciding how to design my own outdoor spaces, I started seeking inspiration and was shocked not to see brown girls in this space. I started the group. I am motivated daily because this is a safe space for black women, and they depend on this space to encourage mental healing and mental wealth.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have been featured in Forbes and GMA and was named a top creator in North America By Meta.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It is a daily task. Being a leader is a responsibility. This is a full-time job now. Whether I want to or not, I have a responsibility to my tribe.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
While the words seem simple, they carry a weight that will catapult you to the next level. Right it down, make it plain and execute.
