What's your business, and who are your customers?
We, The OmniCube, are a play-based movement therapy or somatic neurocognitive therapy. We have our product and protocol, which helps to put people into the flow state and helps to regulate the nervous system. Our customers include Occupational Therapists, Nursing homes, Residential Treatment Facilities, or anyone who works with a neurodiverse population who may or may not be dealing with trauma.
Tell us about yourself
I first met the inventor of our product when I was predominately focused on my golf fitness business. After seeing what he did and using his product (now called The OmniCube) and hearing a very similar response from our other co-founder, we knew we had something and needed to bring it out to the market.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building a huge community of people who believe in us, the product/process, and want to help us. Bringing in two investors has been huge as well.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Continually working without a payday. Trusting that you are doing the right thing and that the money will follow.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Make sure there is a need for your product, be able to identify who those people are, why there is a "pain point," and how your product will help them. Build a team around you that is able to fill in the gaps you have. Trust in yourself and just be you, don't try to be anything that you aren't.
