Tell us all about your business...

We believe in empowering people around the world to live happier and healthier lives through swimming. Water is our world, and it is our mantra to empower aquatic prowess. At the intersection of swimming and technology, we can help people improve their performance and health. Our award-winning mobile and wearable apps guide our members through personalized swim training programs along with creating the largest digital swimming community in the world!

What's your background and motivation to get into the solopreneur life?

I was introduced to swimming when I was 5 years old. Growing up in a waterfront community, going to the beach and pool was an annual summer ritual that I fell in love with. After I started coaching and competing in swimming at a collegiate level, I wanted to empower more people to enjoy the sport. This was the inception of MySwimPro and seeing the success of our community members is rewarding and motivating every day!

As a business owner, what does success ultimately mean to you?

Creating something that has been used and seen by millions of people! I've seen the impact our product offering has had on individuals and to know that we have created a brand that is democratizing a sport at scale is very rewarding!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

You don't know what you don't know! The farther you get, the bigger your challenges are. It doesn't get easier! You improve every day, but the needs of the business will continue to scale. It's a never-ending cycle, which is awesome, but that doesn't make it easy!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a business today?

Get Started. Fall in love with the problem you're solving. Focus on one thing and be the best in the world at it.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?

Life is short so enjoy the journey! It's important to have a sense of urgency in everything that you do, just be sure to have take time for yourself to breathe. Building a fitness brand allows me to be extremely active. I still do the activity I evangelize every day: swimming, so of course, I swim regularly!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

If you want to start something, just take action and make it happen!
