What's your business, and who are your customers?

The Limitless Lady, LLC and The Limitless Leader Program help leaders shift from limited sight to limitless vision so they can better serve their community, company, & personal career. Tell us about yourself

I am a leadership expert & development coach, K-16 educator & administrator, author, & motivational speaker. With over 17 years of professional experience as a teacher, administrator, state director, & university professor, I continuously work to understand the importance of fusing education, empowerment, & leadership together as I work with learning & working communities & speak to audiences across the country. I hold a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies & have led, coached, & impacted close to 45,000 educational and corporate leaders around the world on transformational & innovative strategy, self-empowerment, & leadership development. I believe that in order to show up in the world as our most authentic & powerful selves, we must break through limiting beliefs that inhibit us from reaching the next level as transformational leaders. If we want to create opportunities & pathways that shift our world in a more positive direction, then we need young adults, learning communities, & organizations who are prepared to lead the movement!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As a woman of color who started a business with no formal business training, our biggest accomplishment has been creating a sustainable model of business that is now providing opportunities for other women of color to create and build businesses of their own and break generational patterns of financial dependence. We are extremely proud to now offer startup business coaching for soloprenuers, womenprenuers, and entrepreneurs by using the system we have built over the past four years.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is determining how to serve your client in the most authentic way possible. Social media and the widespread, ever-changing nature of technology can create imposter syndrome if you are not grounded in who you are and who you serve. There will always be someone offering more, making more, promising more, but as long as you are consistently reflecting, evolving, and growing as a business owner, it helps you to stay close to the true you!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

I would say that everyone has a purpose inside them that deserves to be birthed into the world. Only you can deliver your gift the way it was intended to, and when you begin the process of starting, running, or growing a business, the goal is to find the sweet spot where you can make an impact and an income at the same time. When you discover that gift, that product, or that service, it will never feel like "work."

Is there anything else you'd like to share?
