What's your business, and who are your customers?
Hello Everyone, The Lash Cafe is a day spa that provides a selection of services that cater to women and men. We provide damage-free Lash extensions, facials, male grooming, lash lifts, brow sculpting, waxing services, and manicure and pedicure.
Tell us about yourself
Hi, I'm Lisa, the owner, and operator of the lash cafe. I started out as a cosmetologist wanting to do hair, and as time went by, I Fell in love with lash extensions. I watched so many videos before I took my first lash course, which motivated me to travel to Orlando to become a lash artist. I've been lashing for five years now and what motivates me most is seeing the surprised look on my client's faces when they look in the mirror after a service. So many women feel as though they don't have eyelashes because their unable to see them, so it's my job to enhance their lashes in a safe manner, which provides so much confidence and happiness for my ladies.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As of today, my biggest accomplishments would have to be hiring my first employee and having been able to keep her fully booked!!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner for me is being the person responsible for everything. Everything is riding on me no matter how many people I hire, no matter how many people I train; my business is a reflection of me, so when things go wrong, or customers aren't satisfied, I have to accommodate their needs no matter who Provided the service.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- We all started with One client/customer; don't let that discourage you.
- Know who your customers/ clients are and what problem you can solve for them.
- Never stop educating yourself on the business that you start.
