Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal and business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Holly Green, CEO of The Human Factor, Inc., located in Parker, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I support organizations in defining success and achieving it via strategic agility. Our customers range from small and mid-sized businesses to F500 companies to associations and non-profits.

Tell us about yourself

I love helping others win. After spending the first part of my career in both large and start-up businesses, I decided to put everything together, learn more about how the brain really works at work (vs. pretending we are logical, rational beings) and apply all of it to support others in achieving success.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Staying in business and thriving for 20+ years has been a significant accomplishment. I have clients I have supported for more than 10+ years, and all have been more successful.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Managing all the aspects of the business while delivering to clients. A lot is required behind the scenes just to keep all the wheels balanced and moving in the right direction.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Think about your current network. Nurture it and stay in touch with people by providing what they value.
  2. Build infrastructure as you need it and plan ahead so you leverage everything you've built along the way.
  3. Always overdeliver on your commitments.
