Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lisa Taylor, Founder of The Hive Holistic, located in Santa Monica, CA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
My company is The Hive Holistic, and we are coaching and healing for high achievers, coaches, and healers. Our customers are successful, however, ready to live in a different way. This company was created to take an integrated approach to enjoy a balanced life with support and accountability.
Tell us about yourself
I have one mission – to help you shine powerfully, live in balance, and perform your best without sacrificing your personal goals and relationships. I have suffered from burnout, taking on way too much and being so out of balance that I didn't even recognize myself! I'm motivated to share resources, tools, and more to activate my client's inner power and live in balance at every level: mind, body, spirit, heart/emotions, and soul.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Healing myself and deep inner wounds, which resulted in a successful business during the pandemic and the ability to serve and guide others.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There is no blueprint, which means lots of trying and not succeeding, which can become discouraging and frustrating. Plus, many in the community of business owners don't want to share this, rather sharing only the successes, so there is a stigma still associated with failure.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- You are the center of it all - business, personal life, and more. Take care of #1(YOU!) - find the things that fill you up and do them every day. This will, in turn, feed every other area of your business and life.
- Give & receive - giving advice, time, energy, or money results in the same coming back to you, giving you the opportunity to receive when you need it.
- Find people that are aligned with your values - these people become your tribe, and you can turn to them at all times- for business and personal challenges.
