What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Grounded Spirit is an Intuitive Healing Practice that focuses on supporting and guiding sensitive souls in embracing their strengths, truth, and power. I lead Reiki training, as well as offer Coaching and 1:1 Reiki healing treatments.
Tell us about yourself
I feel such a connection to the work that I do, and that's what motivates me day in and day out. It doesn't feel like work but more an extension of myself, and it genuinely brings me so much joy. Supporting others in their journey of becoming more of who they truly are is priceless.
For as long as I can remember, I've been attracted to all things mystical and otherworldly. I have also always been highly sensitive, but it wasn't until finding Reiki and Coaching support outside of traditional talk therapy that I was really able to harness and understand my sensitivity as a gift.
It felt like a burden for years, something that held me back from life as I thought it was supposed to be lived. My outlook completely changed as a result of the support I received, which motivated me to train in the same Coaching method as well as teach Reiki to others as a way to support their own healing journey.
I am passionate about guiding and empowering others to embrace their own inner resourceful healer - in particular, the sensitive souls that feel it all, as I am deeply familiar with what it means to move through the world in this way.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The Grounded Spirit is still in its beginning stages of growth, so ultimately, what feels like the biggest accomplishment thus far is fully committing to this path and being open to where it might lead me that I might not have anticipated when I started. No one tells you this growing up, but following your heart, if it doesn't align with what the majority of the world is doing, can feel really, really scary.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
For me, one of the most personally challenging elements of owning a spiritual business is the reality that the growth and success of the business are directly connected to my own connection to self, heart, and truth at any given moment. With that knowledge comes a feeling of great responsibility. It is equal parts exciting and overwhelming some days.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- If the vision lives in your heart, trust it.
- Show up as yourself; your people will find you.
- Focus on taking the next right step, a thousand times, over and over - and you will grow.
