Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Rachel Katz, Founder of The Full Life by Rachel LLC., located in Austin, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a Wellness Embodiment Coach, and I started The Full Life by Rachel to help women all around the world heal their relationship with themselves on a mind, body, and soul level so that they could embody the most full version of themselves and live their life to the fullest <3 My customers are women who are struggling to truly love themselves & are wanting so much more out of life but don't know the steps they need to take to get there.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business out of my personal journey of struggling with mental illness, physical illness, and an unhealthy relationship with myself and others. After healing holistically from an Eating Disorder, debilitating Anxiety and Depression, several health issues, a narcissistic relationship, and years of trauma and abuse, I knew in my heart that I was meant to help others do the same. There is so much more to life than what we were taught is possible for us, and I'm so passionate about showing others that anything they want in this life is possible for them! Once we heal our relationship with ourselves - everything else in our life changes for the better. It's only then that we can truly live our dream life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is deciding not to give up when things got hard or when I didn't know where my next paycheck was coming from and fully trusting in my mission and my purpose. It's in those moments where I more than doubled my income shortly after and changed so many people's lives!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Taking breaks from your business and not losing yourself in it - especially if your business is something you love doing. When you own your own business, there's no one watching over you and telling you when to stop working or to go home. There's always more work to do which is why it's important to have boundaries and take days off.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. You will always be rewarded for following your passion and your purpose - remember this when things get tough.
  2. Getting a mentor/coach and having a good support system is crucial.
  3. Stop comparing yourself to others and focus on your vision. Patience is key.
