Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Khristee Rich, Owner of The Dancing Curtain, LLC., located in Ridgefield, CT, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own a healthy lifestyle business called The Dancing Curtain. I empower women to prioritize their health and wellness. I help women to overcome chronic illnesses, chronic conditions, and trauma using a holistic perspective, my powerful energy work, and the natural medicine of the Earth.

Women who have been sick for years become healthy and joyful. I have been called the Miracle Worker and Healer of Healers. Also, I help moms who would like to conceive children naturally, who would like to feel healthy and empowered during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, and moms who would like to overcome illnesses that happen during pregnancy and postpartum such as postpartum depression or who would like to practice preventative care.

Tell us about yourself

I have been a holistic health expert and healer for 17 years and an avid researcher for over twenty years. I am a passionate advocate for women’s health and wellness.

I became an entrepreneur when I followed my intuition in 2009. I had never planned to be an entrepreneur, but I trusted my intuition. I became a healer to try to heal myself from a 15-year chronic illness. Once I discovered the root cause, I healed myself naturally in one month. Since that time, I have focused on empowering women with their health and wellness. I have so much empathy for what women with chronic illness experience.

I am motivated each day because I am determined to help more women around the world with their health and wellness. So many women are not receiving the proper treatment and are struggling for years, and many women are not aware that they can heal naturally without medication.

Through my talks, workshops, one-on-one service, digital programs, and books, I educate, transform, and uplift women. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did, 15 years of illness with little compassion. I want women to thrive in their lives, return to great health, and be joyful.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is healing myself from my 15-year illness so that I can teach women how to do the same.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is feeling that you have to do everything on your own in the beginning before you have a team to support you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

I would say to trust your intuition, to pursue your unique talents and gifts instead of trying to be like everyone else or comparing yourself to everyone else, and to write a book to showcase your expertise.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am currently writing a three-book series on childbirth around the world from a holistic perspective. There are not many books that discuss holistic childbirth, the whole journey from conception, pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, and the mind, body, and spirit connection.

The first book, What Is Holistic Childbirth: Empowering Moms Worldwide Through The Whole Story, is founded on interviews with over 70 mothers and childbirth experts around the world. It is expected to launch in 2023. Writing this book series has been a joy. Always follow your joy!
