Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dr. Ashkan Khodabakhsh, Owner of The Chiro Guy, located in Beverly Hills, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a world-famous, board-certified Beverly Hills chiropractor specializing in a wide range of traditional and state-of-the-art holistic treatments at my wellness center, including chiropractic care, cryotherapy, cold laser therapy, compression therapy, decompression therapy, cupping, infrared light therapy, ultrasound, sports medicine, personal training, Graston muscle scraping, electric muscle stimulation, and massage.

My education and more than 10 years of pain management experience make me an expert in treating patients' back pain, neck pain, mid-back pain, knee pain, herniated discs, bulging discs, sciatica, TMJ, jaw pain, headaches, migraines, GERD, acid reflux, arthritis, sports injuries, sprains, strains, muscle tightness, and other conditions causing chronic or acute pain.

Tell us about yourself

While participating in a soccer game, I experienced an injury. However, with the assistance of a chiropractor and the mother of one of my teammates, I received on-site treatment and was able to return to the game, ultimately scoring the winning goal for the tournament championship. This event sparked a strong interest in the powerful healing capabilities of the human body and the effectiveness of chiropractic in facilitating this healing. Subsequently, I dedicated four years to studying sports medicine at Beverly Hills High School, where my passion for learning and hands-on experience garnered me the nickname "Dr. Ash."

Throughout my childhood, I encountered medical practitioners who primarily prescribed medication, with little success. As a result, I have made a commitment to promoting natural treatment methods and preventing others from experiencing similar frustrations. I remain dedicated to utilizing the latest technologies in my practice to provide efficient recovery for my patients and preventative measures through stretches and exercises.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As a business owner, one of my greatest accomplishments is being consistently recognized as the highest-rated chiropractor in Beverly Hills and the greater Los Angeles area since 2015. Our clinic has held the distinction of being the top-rated chiropractor on platforms such as Yelp for eight consecutive years, a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional care and customer service. We are proud of this achievement and continuously strive to maintain this level of excellence. Additionally, we are excited to have amassed a large following, with nearly 700,000 subscribers on our YouTube channel, which serves as a platform for sharing educational content and promoting overall wellness.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Business owners must continually adapt to evolving patients' preferences and technological advancements to ensure the highest level of service for their clients. We actively pursue the latest technological advancements to optimize our patient's recovery process in the most efficient and safe manner. This requires a commitment to staying informed of industry developments, evaluating the potential impact on our business, and making appropriate adjustments, which can entail a significant investment of time and resources.
